Is it for you?

This is for you if…

  • You're past 60, your RV was paid for with your savings, and you want it to last as long as you keep traveling.
  • A repair you never saw coming has kept your RV in the shop for weeks, and you don't want that again.
  • You'd like to know what to check yourself before you pay anyone, and what to tell the shop when you do.
  • You'd rather find a drip, a tired tire or a loose hitch in your driveway than on the side of the highway.

It's not for you if you want to rebuild an engine or open a 120-volt panel. Those jobs belong to a technician. This is the owner's side: look in order, catch it early, fix the small thing today.

Meet the author

Hi, I'm Tak

Nagoya, Japan, is where I learned my trade. For fourteen years I worked in a dealership service bay doing the shaken, the inspection every car in Japan must pass, part by part, in the same order, every time. There you learn one thing: you fix it before it breaks.

Twenty years ago I came to Elkhart, Indiana, the RV capital of the world. I fixed RVs in shops, and then from my own service van. The repairs that hurt my customers most were never surprises. A roof seam nobody looked at. A water heater nobody drained. A tire older than the grandchildren.

These three books are my inspection, written for the RV you already own. No special tools, no secret products. Every chapter has an easier way for your back and knees, and a box that tells you what changes on a towable or a motorhome.

See you at the next round. — Tak

Questions

Before you
decide

I'm not a mechanic. Can I really do this?

Yes. Most of the system is looking: a flashlight, a mirror, a tire gauge and a sheet on a clipboard. Where a job belongs to a certified technician, like propane, 120-volt wiring or anything structural, the books say so plainly, and Vol. III shows you how to describe the problem to the shop.

My back and knees aren't what they were. Is that a problem?

No. Every chapter has an "Easier on your back & knees" box: a rolling pad, an inspection mirror so you never crawl underneath, binoculars from the ladder before you climb, and when to call a mobile technician. Vol. II has a whole part on it.

I have a travel trailer. My friend has a motorhome. Does it work for both?

Yes. Every chapter has a "Towable or motorhome?" box that tells you what changes, or simply "Same on both." Each book puts it all together in a summary at the back.

Where do I start?

With Vol. III. Walk the 20-minute round once and mark the sheet. Each point tells you where the full repair is: Vol. I for leaks, the water heater, the tanks and campsite power, Vol. II for the hitch, brakes, tires, TOW/HAUL and batteries.

I'm thinking about switching to lithium. Is that covered?

Yes. Vol. II, chapter 13: what else has to change besides the battery, with a worksheet to fill in. Your battery's spec sheet always has the last word.

Will it tell me which brands to buy?

No. You get the types of tool the system needs and why, and the ones it doesn't. Every weight, pressure and setting comes from your own placards and manuals. The manual is the boss.

What exactly do I get?

The complete collection gives you all three volumes. Each volume is also sold on its own ($27, $47 and $87), but the collection gives you all three for $97 and saves you $64.

How do I receive it?

Right after payment you get your access link, on screen and by email. It's yours to keep, and there's nothing to wait for.

Can I read it on a tablet or computer? Can I print it?

Yes. It opens on any phone, tablet or computer. You can zoom the text as large as you like, or print the pages and cards at home and pin them up in the RV.

Is the payment secure?

Yes. You'll pay on a secure checkout page run by Hotmart, a payment platform used worldwide. Pay by card, PayPal or Apple Pay. It's a one-time payment: no subscription.

What if it's not for me?

You're covered by a 15-day money-back guarantee. Ask for a refund within 15 days and you get every cent back. Just write to business@japanrvfix.com.
